Smoky Mountain River Rat Tubing Review: Here’s What To Expect Your First Time River Tubing With River Rat In Townsend TN… Or With ANY Outfitter!

East Tennessee is hot, and when you’re looking for a way to cool down with your family and friends, floating down the river is where it’s at! For me, the River Rat Tubing season pass was a no brainer — because it’s the most convenient way to get on the water without the commitment, logistics, or work of a canoe or kayak. Our entire party of 10 people (including teens and toddlers) had a blast their first time there, and I’ve been tubing with River Rat several times now.

Jennifer Lawrence Breaks The Taboo Of ‘Women Peeing Standing Up’… Because When You Gotta Go, You Gotta Go!

Say what? A female urination device? You’ve got to be kidding! Nope, I’m not. A pee funnel is popular with actresses, brides, and female outdoor enthusiasts. I bet you’ve said, ‘If only I could pee standing up!’ at least once. Try a pee funnel like Jennifer Lawrence did. It’s quicker, easier, and cleaner.

National Park vs. State Park: Differences Between The Two + Reasons To Visit A State Park Soon

Live near a state park? Consider yourself lucky! If you’re thinking that state parks are smaller (or less significant) than the 59 national parks in the U.S., think again. I love visiting state parks — and with over 10,000 of them across the U.S., there’s sure to be several near you. Find a state park (or national park) nearby, see why state parks are so amazing, and explore lists of the best state parks in America.

About Us

LynnetteAs a lifelong traveler, I like to help people find unique ways to do things that will save time & money -- so I write about "outside the box" Travel Hacks that most wouldn't think of. I'm SUPER organized and I love to pack! I've lived in 6 different states (Florida, Indiana, New York, Ohio, Tennessee, and Texas) and have visited every other state in the U.S. -- except Hawaii. (Can you say bucket list?) I've been on several different cruises, airplanes, and boats in my life and I currently enjoy the outdoors by bicycling, motorcycling, Jeeping, RVing, camping, or just walking my dogs. My favorite "hobby" is riding on the back of our Harley-Davidson Road Glide traveling cross country -- which we usually do at least once each year. We even rode from Tennessee to Alaska once! Since 2011, we've logged over 150,000 miles riding our motorcycle all across the USA. When I'm not on the road, you will find me at the corner of Good News & Fun Times as publisher of The Fun Times Guide (32 fun & helpful websites).

JoshuaI’m a Florida native, a roller coaster junkie, and a frequent traveler. (Long road trips are my favorite.) Born and raised in Tampa, I grew up visiting Busch Gardens Tampa Bay. I authored the book Busch Gardens Tampa Bay: Images of Modern America, which details the colorful history of the Busch Gardens theme park. As a local historian, I've also written about other popular landmarks and attractions for a variety of publications. Here, on this Travel Guide, I like sharing little-known facts and fun stuff about all the places I've been -- so you will have a good idea of what those places are like and what you should know before you go. I especially enjoy helping others plan fun trips... on a budget!
